This is the same fabric our fire blankets are made from (Duvetyn), but it is available by the yard. This is a heavy 16oz fabric, not the cheaper 8oz you sometimes find. Most people use this to make fire resistant clothing or backdrops, but you can also use it to make larger or odd sizes fire blankets. The consistency of the fabric is similar to a denim. One side is similar to jean fabric and the other is a softer brushed finish. The fabric is sold by the yard (914 mm). It is 54 inches (1370mm) wide.

Note: If you wash this fabric, it will lose its fire resistance and will have to be treated again.
